Cuttack: Out of the 14 new COVID-19 positive cases reported today in Cuttack district, 11 positive cases belong to Cuttack city (CMC area).
The Cuttack Municipal Corporation, in a tweet, informed that active surveillance, contact tracing, and sanitization of the concerned areas are underway.
As per reports, of the 11 positive cases in Cuttack City, four are from institutional quarantine and four from home quarantine. Besides, three are local contact case.
Of the four +ve cases in institutional quarantine, a 35-year-old male and a 45-year-old male have been detected from SCB isolation ward while one is a 24-year-old male from a private nursing home. Besides, a 69-year-old male has been infected due to contact with previous positive case of AHRCC.
Among the four Home quarantine cases, two are female, a 32-year-old male and a 4-year-old male child all residents of Shanti Vihar, Kanika Road. All are contacts of an earlier reported positive case from Kanika Road.
In case of three local contact cases, one is a 26-year-old female from CDA Sector-7, another is 38-year-old male from Jagatpur and the other one is a 31-year-old male from CDA Sector-9.
A total of 213 COVID-19 positive cases has been reported in Cuttack, 32 have recovered and two have died due to the deadly infection. Besides, the active cases in Cuttak stands at 179.
