11 bonded labourers rescued in Nabarangpur


Nabarangpur: As many as 11 bonded labourers including four minor girls were rescued from Sadar bus stand under Papdahandi block in Nabarangpur district, police said on Tuesday.

The police said all the bonded labourers who have been rescued were residents of Bhandia village of Dengagugda panchayat.

Acting on a tip-off, police raided and rescued the labourers from the bus stand who were being taken to work in Sambalpur district.

Police have detained the middleman Gopal Patel. He belongs to Kalahandi district.
