Bhubaneswar: The Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar has attained one more achievement by getting 100 percent placement for its MBA (BM) 2015-17 batch students under its placement programme, ‘Xuberance 2017.’
Amid top competitiveness, all the 360 students were offered jobs by various companies during the placement programme in which a total of 102 companies had participated, including 60 new recruiters. While 360 students of Business Management got placed in 102 companies, 102 students of Human Resource course were picked by 52 firms.
The management institute said the number of recruiters this year increased by 50 % compared to last year.
While the highest domestic salary stood at Rs 21 lakh per annum, average annual compensation stood at Rs. 13.18 lakh per annum and the median annual compensation stood at Rs 13.02 lakhs per annum.
The average compensation for the top 50 per cent of the batch stood at Rs 15.47 lakh per annum and the median compensation at Rs 14.84 lakh per annum.
Major recruiters such as L’Oréal, Nestle,Bajaj Auto, Tata Steel, UHG, Maruti Suzuki, Times Group, HSIL, Idea Cellular, BPCL, Vedanta, CBC, Deloitte, PwC, TCS, Godrej, L&T, SBI Group, IOCL, Hero Motocorp, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC, CRISIL, ICRA, HSBC IB, Royal Bank of Scotland, HSBC among others.
Major IT behemoths HCL Technologies, Wipro, Accenture Technology Services, Capgemini, Mindtree, Mahindra Comviva, Infosys etc absorbed almost 14% of the batch offering diversified roles in the IT sector to the young talent of XIMB.
