Women’s World T20: India to face arch-rivals Pakistan

Guyana: After defeating New Zealand by 34 runs, the Indian team will lock horn with the arch-rivals Pakistan in the second match of ICC Women’s World Cup T20 today.

Harmanpreet Kaur’s whirlwind 103 off 51 balls helped India to a straightforward 34-run win over New Zealand whereas Pakistan, on the other hand, folded for a 52-run defeat at the hands of the Australians.

In the opening match, Indian skipper showcased a 103 runs while spinners Radha Yadav, Dayalan Hemalatha and Poonam Yadav were all among the wickets against New Zealand while Jemimah Rodrigues showcased her much-heralded potential by anchoring a record 123-run partnership with Kaur.

Earlier, the Indian team have faced Pakistan 10 times in which the Indians won the battle eight times while Pakistan had settled only for two times.

Similarly, in the T20 world cup both the teams have faced each other for five times, wining three matches in favor of Indians.
