Bhubaneswar: Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram today said that the Naveen-led BJD Government is bringing false allegations against him in order to dodge the poll funding row.
Upholding his stance, Oran alleged the BJD is making efforts to mislead the people of Odisha to cover their own flaws. In this scenario if the party is demanding for my resignation then Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik must resign at first as the preliminary investigation has revealed the fact of discrepancies found in the false poll affidavit during the 2014 elections.
“The allegations regarding irregularities in my poll expenses are completely baseless and there is no mismatch of figures furnished in the affidavit. The accusations are a out of political wrangle”, said Oram.
“I will resign immediately if any discrepancy in the poll expenses stated by me is proven false. If the BJD has adequate evidence then it must move to the court of law or election commission”, he dared Naveen.
Meanwhile, BJP vice-president Sameer Mohanty, in a press conference here at today, alleged that BJD is even violating the constitutional norms to prove the allegations wrong.
