Wild boar attack left 3 persons injured in Odisha capital


Bhubaneswar: In an incident, a wild boar attack left as many as three persons injured today near Kalinga Studio Chhak in the outskirts of Odisha capital.

As per forest officials, the wild boar sneaked into the locality through the fencing of Chandaka forest range and it attacked the locals being scared to venture into places of human habitations.

The strayed animal was later captured by forest personnel and was set free in the Chandaka Reserve forest.

Reportedly, the three injured persons were hospitalized for preliminary treatment and an amount of Rs 5000 will be provided as ex-gratia compensation under Odisha Forest Department Rules.
