New Delhi: In an effort to congratulate Mithali Raj for being the highest run scorer in Women’s One–Day Internationals (ODIs) during India’s match against Australia in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017, Virat Kohli does a major goof up in his congratulatory message in Facebook.
Kohli took to both Twitter and Facebook to congratulate the Indian Women’s Cricket team captain but however he made a mistake in his FB post.
The Indian team captain posted women’s team opener Punam Raut’s photo instead of posting Mithali’s picture with caption, ‘A great moment for Indian Cricket, Mithali Raj becomes the highest scorer in Women’s ODI Cricket History today. Champion Stuff!’
The error was brought to Kohli’s notice after it was spotted by some users on his official page. However, the post was later been removed from Facebook.
Once Mithali achieved the milestone, praises poured in from all corners. Social media was abuzz with fans posting about Mithali’s achievement. Among the ones, who wished Mithali, was Indian men’s team’s captain Virat Kohli.
