Baripada: Police on Saturday recovered decomposed bodies of two minors, both brothers, who were missing from a forest near Jhipabandha village under Badampahada in Mayurbhanj district.
It was suspected that the children were murdered as their throats were slit with sharp weapons. The police suspected that they were killed as their family was ostracized by the villagers for allegedly practicing black magic in the wake of some residents having taken ill and died.
Reports said the wife and two sons of Madhusudan Sinka were missing from Tuesday. However, the decomposed bodies of the kids were recovered from a nearby forest in the wee hours of the day.
Police said Madhusudan’s wife was still untraceable while three persons were detained for interrogation.
