Bhubaneswar: Meet 45-year- old Jitendra Kumar Biswal who is a quadriplegic and can hardly move without his wheelchair and without anybody’s help. But he is the hero of his life both in real and reel worlds. Biswal is acting in a Hindi film the story of which is based on his life and the movie is going to be released on December 30 across the country.
While the Rajyasabha’s thumbs up to the disability bill has brought smiles on our face, the story of such people being portrayed on the silver screen gives inspiration to one and all. This film titled “Two Desires and a dream” also features Bollywood actors like Brijendra kala, Preeti Jhangiani, Odia actress Swapna Pati along with new comers Biki, Liza and others.
“This film shows the life and feelings of a disabled person. Like every ablebodied individual a disabled person also has his feelings, wishes, dreams and desires, but with societal pressure these remain supressed. Jitendra’s story is different. He has all these hopes and feelings and he lives with them and tries to achieve them. That’s the motivating factor,” said director of the film Avinash Nanda who was present in the city and was talking about the film in a press meet on Monday.
Jitendra also is hopeful that this movie will help him show the world what a disabled person wishes and desires and these are as normal as any other persons. “This film will help remove many misconceptions from people’s mind,” he said.
The films trailer has been a hit on the online and social media platforms. In the press event, the films crew and cast including the director and some actors were present.
