Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) on Friday announced the detailed schedule of the upcoming annual High School Certificate Examinations to begin from February 28 next year.
The examinations would start from February 28 and continue till March 10, informed BSE President Susant Das.
The examinations would start with the first language (Odia) on February 28 followed by second language (English) on March 2.
Similarly, examinations for third language (Hindi/ Sanskrit) would be held on March 4. Test for Mathematics will be held on March 6, while test for Science will be held on March 8. Likewise, the theory examinations would end with Social Science on March 10.
The form fill up for the examinations can be done within November 1 to 12. More than six lakh students are likely to appear the exams next year, sources said.
Along with the mains, the board has also decided to conduct State Institute of Open School (SIOS) exams for school drop-outs who have discontinued their education after class seven, to give them an opportunity to clear the matriculation.
