Bhubaneswar: Political rife of change in the OPCC leadership gathered fresh momentum in the state as three senior leaders today left for New Delhi.
Senior leaders of Odisha Congress Narasingha Mishra, Niranjan Patnaik and Ananta Sethi left for Delhi.
However, leader of Opposition (LoP) in Odisha Assembly, Narasingha Mishra, said media persons that he had not received any invitation from the AICC for a meeting and his visit is private in nature.
Similarly, Congress heavyweight Niranjan Patnaik also rejected outright any political meeting during his Delhi visit.
“I have to move Chandigarh from Delhi to attend a private event,” he added.
Surprising all Anant Sethi openly advocated for Niranjan and said that he is the lone saviour for the Congress in the state at the moment.
It is already late, the Congress high command should immediately take a call on the issue and announce Niranjan as the new OPCC president as nearly 80 to 90 percent members in the party support Niranjan, he concluded.
