Kansas: The accused involved in murder of a Indian-student in Kansas was shot dead during an exchange of fire between Kansas police and the suspect near a motel in east Kansas City on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted raid at the area to nab the accused. Seeing the police approaching towards him, he opened fire leaving three officers injured. In retaliation, the police fired on him. After a series of gunfight the accused was shot dead.
The injured police personnel were rushed to the nearby hospital while the body was sent for autopsy.
Notably, Sharath Koppu a 25-year-old Indian student was shot by the accused on July 6 during a suspected robbery attempt in a restaurant at Kansas. After the incident a manhunt was released to nab the accused.
