Bhubaneswar: Heat conditions in interiors of the state have become extreme and sunstroke death allegations are on the rise. While the death toll claim has reached 17, official sources say there have been two deaths.
In Angul district the death toll due to heat wave is claimed to be five while in Kendrapada, Keonjhar and Sundergarh, the toll is being claimed to be two deaths each. Similarly, Boulanger, Balasore, Bargarh, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj and Sambalpur each claim one death by sunstroke.
Of the 17 heat wave death claims the probe reports of four deaths have been made. Among these two have been confirmed to be sunstroke deaths in Angul and Bargarh as per the report.
