Cuttack: Central Range Revenue Divisional Commissioner A B Otta on Tuesday recorded statements of three witnesses on SUM fire mishap and notified other parties who did not turn up during the meeting.
As many as 35 witnesses have been sent notices to appear before the RDC during December 1 to 3 and record their statements on the tragic incident. Parties including DMET, SUM owner, officials, CDMO, ADMO, District Collector, fire officials, ADM and others directly or indirectly involved in the issue have been informed to show up before the RDC.
Submission of affidavits on the tragic incident concluded on November 21. Out of 393 affidavits 61 would be summoned to keep their views on the case.
It is worthwhile to mention that 30 persons have so far died due to a severe fire mishap in the emergency dialysis ward of city based SUM hospital on October 17. Following the accident hospital owner Manoj Nayak was arrested as state government directed an RDC level probe into the incident.
