According to sources, Abinash was arrested on Saturday night on charge of stealing a mobile phone of a villager. The police put him in the lock-up after interrogation.

At about 10 pm he gave police a slip when police took him to attend the nature’s call. Despite a frantic search, police could not be able to trace him.

However, his body was found hanging from the staircase railing of one Haladhar Mallick’s house in the village in the early morning today.
