Bhubaneswar: Students’ union elections in colleges and universities across the state will be conducted on September 23; the Higher Education Department notified today.
The notification also confirmed the polls at Utkal University and BJB Autonomous College.
The candidates can file their nominations on September 16 from 9 am to 12 noon and these nominations will be scrutinized on the same day, notification read.
The institutions are directed to publish the list of the valid nominations at 11 am on September 18. The final list of contestants will be out at 5 pm on the same day after withdrawal of nominations between 2 pm to 4 pm.
The ‘What I Stand for meeting’ will be held on September 22, a day before elections.
The polling on September 23 will be held between 8 am and 2 pm. Counting and declaration of results will be held on the day of polling. The elected candidates will take oath at 11 am on September 25.
