Mumbai: In spite of stiff competition at the box office, Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Stree’ entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club on Sunday.
The quirky horror-comedy has earned 101.43 crores at the box office within 16 days of its release, according to film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh.
Amar Kaushik directorial ‘Stree’ is an interesting mix of horror with fun and based on a true phenomenon. The story is set in a small town where it is believed that there was a beautiful woman, who left every man awestruck by her beauty, but only one man loved her truly. The film was released on August 31.
Actor Rajkummar also took to social media to thank his fans for the overwhelming response to his film in a 15-second video.
While Stree marks the entry of Rajkummar Rao into the 100 crore club for the first time, Shraddha Kapoor has three movies to her credits which stormed into the coveted 100 crore club.
