Bhubaneswar: The State level Kalinga Herbal Fair is underway at Exhibition Ground in the city since Monday. Organised by the State Medicinal Plants Board (SMPB), the fair aims to promote the use of traditional Indian medicines and plants.
Around 120 stalls have been put up which showcase diverse products related to health and horticulture and thus providing an opportunity for interaction, trading and learning to all stakeholders of medicinal plants sector. Moreover, 80 stalls have been set up displaying exclusively the ayurvedic products.
After gaining national popularity last year, organizations including SSS Research and Consultancy Services of Gujarat, Vestige of New Delhi, Sathi & Bio Care of Bhubnaeswar, Nature Udyog of Cuttack have set up their stalls this year during the exhibition.
The special attraction which the event offers are:
- Ayurvedic, homeopathic and Unani Doctors are available for free consultation.
- Traditional healers from all over the State, Manufactures, Traders of Herbal medicines are available.
- Provision of Vaidya’s meet, Ayurvedic Doctor’s meet and Buyer- Seller meet.
- Food stall and cultural programmes. The five day fair is slated to continue till December 16.
