Puri: The Badadanda in Puri is all set to witness the annual Ratha Yatra of Lord Jagannath and his siblings Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra. The deities will begin their nine-day sojourn to Srigundicha temple on the occasion of the grand festival on Saturday.
All arrangements have been made by the district administration and the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) for the grand festival, which will witness the congregation of lakhs of devotees in the pilgrim city from across the globe.
After the arrival of Agyan Mala (consent of deities), the three chariots were pulled to the Singha Dwara (Lions’ Gate) of Srimandir from Rath Yard on Friday afternoon. The three chariots with the deities will begin the journey towards Srigundicha temple tomorrow.
