Bhubaneswar: Solar lamps were distributed among 25,000 students of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) by Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd CMD Dr PV Ramesh at a programme here on April 20, 2017. The solar lamps were given away by Rural Electrification Corporation as a part of its CSR activities. The lamps have been made by Solar Energy Corporation of India.
Speaking on the occasion Ramesh said that he has never seen such a huge tribal residential institution where it not only provides free education to the tribal children, but also takes care of their all round development. He praised founder of KISS, Achyuta Samanta.
Among others, Executive Director (CSR & Finance) Sanjeev Garg, , Chief Project Manager of Rural Electrification Corporation Surendra Pradhan, KIIT & KISS Secretary RN Dash , KISS CEO Prashant Kumar Routray were also present.
