Bhubaneswar: Thousands of music lovers turned ‘Badtameez’ with the magnetic rhythm of Benny Dayal’s most popular hit song ‘Badtameez Dil’ from ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani’ movie and went mad to the beats of the back to back enchanting performances by two other Bollywood’s big names- Amit Trivedi and Nikita Gandhi at M.A.D- a music and dance festival held at Janta Maidan here.
Audience across all age groups were found dancing madly to the rhythm of Bollywood hits like The Disco Song (Student of the Year), Let’s Nacho (Kapoor & Sons), Humma Humma (Ok Jaanu), Raabta Title Song (Raabta) Ghar (Jab Harry Met Sejal), Tan Tan (Chef) and Ullu Ka Pattha (Jagga Jasoos).
The three music maestros took the audience berserk during the live concert organized by leading Odia vernacular daily Pragativadi in association with RED FM.
The Music Festival began with Nikita Gandhi who mesmerized the audience by a remix of classical Odia hit song ‘Rangabati’ followed by other dance numbers.
She was followed by Benny Dayal whose undeniable fresh voice gave the audiences an eclectic mix of different songs like Badtameez Dil (Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani), The Disco Song (Student of the Year), Let’s Nacho (Kapoor & Sons) and many more.
The M.A.D. FEST, which was considered to be one of the craziest concerts in recent time in the city, concluded with spectacular performance of Amit Trivedi and his team. Their performance forced each and every audience to shake legs with the rhythm. They sang songs from Dev D, Udaan, Aisha, Wake up Sid, Bombay Velvet, Lootera, Queen, Udta Punjab and the like.
Many eminent personalities from the sphere of politics, education, administration, media and Odisha police were seen rejoiced at the musical event that was launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
