Mumbai: SBI Card, one of India’s leading credit card issuers, on Tuesday announced the launch of ‘Unnati’ credit card targeted at all State Bank of India (SBI) customers, including Jan Dhan account holders, across the nation.
The card has been launched at an event by Piyush Goyal Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy and Mines. The card will place the power of card transactions in hands of users using it for the first time, including those who do not have a credit history.
With the aim of expanding the reach of digital payments, SBI card has introduced the Unnati card to bring new users into the fold of cashless transactions and to contribute towards enhancing digital economy in India.
In an initiative to encourage adoption of credit cards, the SBI Unnati will offer free zero annual fees for a tenure of 4 years. It also entitles the cardholders to a list of benefits including fuel surcharge waiver in all fuel refilling stations throughout India, one reward point earning for every Rs 100 spent and the option to redeem reward points for attractive gifts from the exclusively prepared Rewards Catalogue.
