Sambalpur Civic body to take up five projects at Rs 12 cr

Sambalpur: Entertaining basic needs, the Sambalpur Municipal Corporation (SMC) is all set to address the needs of the people very soon with Rs 12 crore funds available from the State Government.

Considering the successful rate of tax collection of the SMC, the Urban Development Department of State Government has decided to allot Rs 12 crore to it for different works.

“With funds from the Government, we are going to take up five projects for the people. These are — one science park at Burla near the Planetarium, musical fountain inside the Ramsagar Bandh (pond), a mammoth national flag on a 100 feet pillar on Budharaja hill top exactly in the design of Wagha border, drinking water ATM and finally renovation of the District Headquarters Hospital,” informed SMC Commissioner Bimalendu Ray.
