New Delhi: Pakistan on Thursday said that it “is reviewing” application to grant visa to Avantika Jadhav, the mother of Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav, who’s on death row there.
Pakistan’s foreign affairs spokesperson Nafees Zakaria, during the weekly Foreign Office briefing, said that asking for recommendations from Aziz to grant visas was against “diplomatic norms”.
The pending visa application of the mother Jadhav is currently under review, he said.
The news comes three days after Union minister Sushma Swaraj flayed her Pakistani counterpart for not even replying to her letter requesting a visa for Jadhav’s mother,
Jadhav was convicted of “spying” by a military court earlier this year.
