Jajpur: The child deaths in Nagada had brought to light the acute crisis of basic facilities in the region. Central Revenue Divisional Commissioner AB Ota visited the village on Wednesday and ordered to improve the situation here.
RDC Ota visited the village with social welfare director D Prasant Kumar Reddy, collector Ranjan Kumar Das and other officials of the district. The team reviewed the state of education, health, sanitation, drinking water, transport, power supply, agriculture and so on as soon as it stepped on the Nagada hills.
Drain work was on at 2.5 kms on the hill from Ashok Jhara. The officials also met families in Naliadaba and asked them about the facilities available for the welfare of children there. They also reviewed the upper Nagada water project.
On their return, the team conducted a meeting at the OMC guest house in Kaliapani.
