New Delhi: National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) presidential candidate Ram Nath Kovind will file the nomination papers for the July 17 presidential election in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief Amit Shah and all top leaders of the alliance on June 23.
As per sources, all the Chief Ministers of BJP and its allies will also grace the occasion when NDA candidate Ram Nath Kovind files his nomination.
In the process of nominations, the secretary general returning officer of Lok Sabha will be present.
Earlier, NDA had announced Kovind as its candidate for the upcoming Presidential polls.
Notably, President Pranab Mukherjee’s term ends on July 24. Voting for the next president is scheduled on July 17, while the counting will take place on July 20.
