Lucknow: Infighting in the Samajwadi Party (SP) has been the headlines in recent months. Everyday the biggest political family’s high voltage drama takes a new turn. Ahead of the crucial UP assembly elections in the upcoming year semblance of unity has restored in the SP with Ram Gopal Yadav back in the party.
On Thursday, party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav has reinstated his cousin and expelled senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Ram Gopal Yadav as the party’s General Seceratary, spokesperson and a member of party’s Parliamentary board.
Meanwhile, Ram Gopal said that he had never said or done anything harming the party’s interests.
On October 23 Ram Gopal, who is considered close to UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, was expelled from the party on the instructions of the party supremo.
