Mumbai: Superstar Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film “2.0 ” is expected to create new benchmarks for its grandeur in every possible aspect.
It is said to be made on a huge budget of over Rs 350 crore, even surpassing Baahubali which is the costliest Indian movie till date.
The film is directed by S.Shankar, co-written by B. Jeyamohan. Following the Robot legacy, 2.0 has Rajinikanth playing the lead role and bollywood actor Akshay Kumar as the villain.
Akshay Kumar who plays the antagonist in the film will be at par with the villains in the Hollywood filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s films.
Being made on a lavish budget of Rs 350 crore, the film will be simultaneously released in Hindi and Telugu, apart from Tamil.
The film has music by Academy Award winner AR Rahman and is expected to release next year.
