Bhubaneswar: Untimely rain and cool breeze have brought some relief from the scorching heat to the people in most parts of Odisha on Thursday.
According to the Meteorological Department rainfall is likely to continue till March 10.
India Meteorological Department (IMD), Bhubaneswar Director Sarat Chandra Sahu several parts of the State witnessed rains as high-pressure system has been formed over the Bay of Bengal and a whirlwind formed between Odisha and Jharkhand.
He said that highest rainfall was recorded at Derabisi (84 mm), Daringbadi recorded 44.2 mm. Some parts of northern and southern Odisha are likely to receive rainfall in the next 24 hours.
