Bhubaneswar: The Indian Railways has decided to provide free transport for aid and relief materials to any station in flood-hit Kerala till the end of this month. The recent floods have so far claimed more than 350 lives.
“Railways will now provide free transportation of relief material for Kerala through various State Govt. agencies, PSUs and other Government agencies,” Railway Minister Piyush Goyal tweeted.
Government organisations can directly avail this service while others have to get in touch with the Divisional Railway Managers for approval.
