New Delhi: In a shocking and embarrassing incident for the Congress, a day after vice president Rahul Gandhi’s Twitter account was hacked, it was hacked again on Thursday alongwith the party’s official account.
On Thursday morning a dozen abusive tweets were posted on the @INCIndia Twitter page.
On Wednesday, hackers posted multiple abuses on the Twitter account of Rahul Gandhi and also removed his profile picture and changed the title from @OfficeOfRG to “Retard Gan”. Eight tweets were posted around 8:30 pm but the tweets were deleted within an hour.
The handle seems to have been hacked by a group called ‘legion’, according to one of the tweets.
Responding to the hacking of the accounts, Rahul said that, “It’s a huge question mark on the country’s digital security”. The Congress spoke to officials of the Information Technology Ministry and also complained to the police cyber security cell on Wednesday night. The government has ordered an investigation and asked for reports on the Twitter activity of both accounts in the past week.
