Puri: After remaining closed for visitors for almost two years, Jagamohan (hall facing Sanctum Sanctorum) in Puri Jagannath Temple is all set to be reopened on Monday for darshan by devotees.
Jagamohan had remained closed for devotees since January 27, 2016 after Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) took up its repair work.
The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) today informed devotees will be allowed tomorrow for darshan after the Sakala Dhupa. However, they will be restricted from entering the Jagamohan during rituals.
Similarly, darshan will be allowed between Mangal Alati and Gopal Ballav on general days. Devotees will have to enter the Jagamohan through ‘Jaya Vijaya Dwara’ and exit through ‘Beharana Dwar’.
The opening of Jagamohan came in wake of Orissa High Court’s order that directed the SJTA to open Jagamohan of Srimandir in Puri by April 16.
