Bhubaneswar: BJP leaders on Friday lodged a complaint with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seeking investigations into the dubious poll funding charges against Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Speaking to reporters, BJP State vice-president Sameer Mohanty said, “We want the Enforcement Directorate to investigate the details of the money donated to the Chief Minister and the ruling BJD. We want the agency to find out the sources of money transactions. A Mumbai-based company has donated crores of rupees to the BJD. Besides, a lot of money has been channelised into the different accounts of the BJD. We want to know who donated the money and why they donated it. So, we sought the ED’s help.”
However, BJD spokesperson MLA Samir Dash said, “This is all drama. We have provided the relevant details to the competent authorities whenever required. If the authorities ask us about any more information, we will provide it.”
