Paradip: Paradip police on Tuesday have interrogated four employees of Odisha Stevedores Ltd (OSL), owned by Mahimananda Mishra alias Mahima Mishra and JM Buxi Firm, a stevedoring company in Paradip which is considered of having business rivalry with Mishra’s OSL.
The employees were grilled in connection with the missing of an employee of JM Buxi, named Niranjan Padhi since the year 2005. The employees included OSL’s Assistant General Manager (AGM) Santosh Kumar Patel and Deputy General Manager (DGM-Operation) Mir Abdul Ali, JM Buxi’s GM Sanjay Kumar Nayak and DGM Captain Amrinder Mishra. The interrogation process started at 11 am on Tuesday at the police station here.
As per report, Niranjan who is still missing was working as a Supervisor and had reportedly received life threats from OSL staff.
Howver, it may be noted here that Mishra is currently lodged in jail after he was arrested from Bangkok in Thailand last year in the Seaways Shipping and Logistics Private Limited (SSPL) General Manager Mahendra Swain’s murder case.
On October 26 last year, Swain was shot to death near Ambedkar Bhawan at Madhuban Colony here in the port town.
