New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday held his monthly address to the nation, “Mann Ki Baat”. This is the 30th edition of his monthly radio broadcast programme.
His address had numerous references to ‘New India’, making it apparent he wanted to popularize the slogan in the country much in the manner of his ‘Make in India’ one.
He said it was the dream of 125 crore Indians which can be realised before our eyes.
India has extended support to the movement towards digital transactions. People of India have rejected corruption and black money, PM Modi said.
“Wastage of food is unfortunate. I know of several youngsters who are using technology and helping prevent wastage of food”, he added.
Earlier in his address, Modi congratulated Bangladesh on its Independence Day. He also paid rich tributes to Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, freedom fighters and martyrs.
