New Delhi: Answering to reporters in poll-bound Meghalaya Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday called the Prime Minister Modi an “instrument of corruption”.
When asked about the PNB scam worth over Rs 11,000 crore, Gandhi said, “Narendra Modi is not against corruption, he is an instrument of corruption.”
The prime minister is living up to this wonderful image of a great magician who can make thing appear and disappear at the snap of a finger. He has made many things appear and disappear effortlessly, he said later in the day.
Scamsters like Vijay Mallya, Lalit Modi and Nirav Modi magically disappeared from India and reappeared in foreign lands out of the reach of Indian law. Modiji’s magic can even make democracy disappear from India very soon, the Congress president told an election rally at Jowai in poll-bound Meghalaya.
Earlier in the day, Gandhi targeted the prime minister over his silence on the PNB bank fraud case and Rafale deal. He said he is looking forward to the prime minister’s “sermon” on the corruption issues in his “Mann ki Baat” programme.
Calling prime minister’s programme aired on All India Radio a monologue, the Congress president said the country wants to hear him speak on billionaire diamond jeweller Nirav Modi and the Rafale “scam”.
