Bhubaneswar: The block grant teachers’ agitation is not going to affect the Plus II evaluation process and the results will be published on time, School and Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra said on Friday.
The first phase of Plus II answer sheet evaluation will conclude on Saturday, the Minister added.
“The government has called the block grant teachers for discussion and that is the only solution to their different demands,” Patra said.
Notably, the state government on Thursday had recommended the managing committee of Siminai College in Dhenkanal district to suspend History lecturer of the college Mayadhara Sahoo for allegedly boycotting Plus II answer sheet evaluation process.
Meanwhile, prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC have been clamped near different evaluation centres across the state to prevent any untoward incident following the agitation.
However, the teachers under the aegis of All Odisha School College Teachers and Employees’ United Forum have stated to continue the strike till their six-point charter of demands have not been fulfilled.
