California: The 89th Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to honor the best films of 2016, was held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, on February 26.
The ceremony was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel who took quite a few jabs at the US President Donald Trump.
Casey Affleck won the Best Actor Award for ‘Manchester by the Sea’ and Emma Stone walked away with the Best Actress Award for her performance in ‘La La Land’.
However, the ceremony ended with much drama initially ‘La La Land’ was declared as the Best Picture, but it was soon announced that there was an error and the Best Picture Award was, in fact, won by ‘Moonlight’.
