Bhubaneswar: The online sale of the tickets for the semi-finals and final of the upcoming Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2018 began on Friday. After just 75 days, the 15,000-seater Kalinga Stadium here will be in action.
While Bhubaneswar is waiting to host the fourteenth edition of this hockey tournament, the International Hockey Federation (FHI) and Hockey India announced about the availability of the tickets on Friday.
The organisers of the mega event have launched the sale of online tickets for the Knockout Stages of the competition including the semi-finals and finals as well as the 3rd/4th classification match.
The tickets for the semi-finals and the finals will be sold at – Rs 250 (East Stand), Rs 150 (North Stand) and Rs 150 (South Stand).
The competition is scheduled to start from November 28 and will end on December 16. The quarterfinals are scheduled to take place on December 12-13. Similarly, the semifinals and the 3rd/4th classification match will take place on December 15 and the final match on December 16.
Earlier in May, the online general tickets for the Pool matches of Hockey Men’s World Cup were sold at – Rs 200 (East Stand), Rs 100 (North Stand) and Rs 100 (South Stand).
Notably, the World Cup tournament will continue for 19 days and consists of 36 matches. The first match will be held on November 28 between World number 3 Belgium and World number 11 Canada. The same day India will face South Africa.
