Srinagar: A seven-year-old girl and a soldier were killed in firing on Monday morning by Pakistani troops along the border at Jammu and Kashmir.
This morning, a little girl was killed in firing at Poonch, where two more civilians were injured, sources said.
Indian security forces have strongly retaliated to the unprovoked firing from the Indian side.
In June alone, there have been 23 ceasefire violations by Pakistan. On July 12, two soldiers were killed after Pakistan violated the ceasefire in Kupwara sector of Jammu and Kashmir. On July 9, the Pakistan army initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars in J&K’s Poonch sector along the LoC.
