Bhubaneswar: In a quantum leap, Paradip Police busted another accused Ashok Bihari, who was involved in assassination of Seaways Shipping General Manager Mahendra Swain. Bihari has been nabbed by a police team from a hideout in Howrah’s Tilkhana slum.
As per sources, Bihari had played a key role in the conspired murder of Seaways GM Mahendra Swain and was stealthily staying in West Bengal thereafter.
He will be produced before Howrah court and would be brought Odisha on transit remand soon.
Moreover, Paradip police had filed a 500 page charge sheet at the Kujang’s JFMC Court enlisting ten persons including the Managing Director of Odisha Stevedores Ltd (OSL) Mahimananda Mishra and Executive Director Basant Bal. Both the accused were jailed after being arrested from Bangkok in Thailand.
Last year Mahendra Swain, the victim had been brutally shot by unidentified assailants near Ambedkar Bhawan at Madhuban area in Paradip on October 26.
