Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government today issued an advisory asking labourers to refrain from outdoor work during afternoon following prevailing intense heat wave condition in the state.
The advisory has asked labourers not to be engaged in outdoor work between 11 am and 3.30 pm due to intense heat wave.
“The labourers have been asked from working outdoors between 11 am and 3.30 pm to prevent cases of sunstroke,” Labour Minister Sushant Singh said.
The Labour and ESI Department also issued preventive measures to be taken for labourers/workers from possible heat wave situation till 30 June.
Meanwhile, the regional meteorological centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here alerted that the heat wave condition will remain unchanged for the next five days.
