Bhubaneswar: The implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations for the state government employees as announced by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will get Cabinet nod tomorrow.
Once it’s approved in the Cabinet meeting Tuesday, the Finance Ministry will issue a notice in this regard.
According to reports, as the state government is implementing the pay hike following fitment committee report, this notification will clarify the details regarding hike in salary.
The central government has hiked salary of its employees from 14.5% to 23% following the 7th Pay Commission recommendations.
However, whether the state government will follow it or bring some changes, the Cabinet will decide.
The Finance Department today issued a memorandum for Cabinet meeting tomorrow.
The state government will carry an extra burden of Rs 4,500 crore after implementation of the salary hike.
The Cabinet may also finalise on the tax subsidy to IOCL’s Paradip refinery.
