Bhubaneswar: Adopting the mode of digitization, the State Government on Monday, announced that land registration fee will be done through cashless mode from next month.
Speaking on the initiative of the government, Odisha Disaster Management and Revenue Minister Maheswar Mohanty said the initiative has been taken to adopt online process. “ The land registration process will be done cashless with effect from September 1”, said the minister.
“In case of any trouble during the e-payment process, one can submit demand draft and cheques”, he said.
Mohanty further added that Revenue Inspectors across the State have been directed to hold “Lok Adalat” on second Saturday and Sunday of every month to reduce the inconvenience being faced by people during land mutation and conversion.
Notably, the government believes the new cashless process will reduce the number of unlawful disposal of immovable property.
