Bhubaneswar: Odia boy Nipun Chandra came fourth in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) entrance examination for its MBBS courses in 2017, the results of which were declared on Thursday.
Chandra is also the all India topper in Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) entrance test this year by scoring 99.9 percentile.
Nipun’s father is senior IAS officer Niten Chandra and mother Shalini Chandra is a lawyer. A student of DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur, BBSR; he has scored 95% in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class XII board exam.
The entrance examination for the MBBS Course was held on May 28 at various centres across the country. More than 1.5 lakh candidates have appeared for the prestigious national level medical entrance.
The first counseling of shortlisted candidates at AIIMS, New Delhi is likely to be held from 3 to 6 July, 2017.
