Bhubaneswar: Odia actress Leslie Tripathy’s fans will soon get to see her starring in a Tamil movie whose teaser has already been released.
She played the role of Mohamaayini in the movie Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kathai which is a fantasy film directed by Rathindran R Prasad and is based on the provincial rule of King Vikramaditya taken from Vedalam-Vikramaditya tale.
Hindi movie actor Abhay Deol has played the character of King Vikramaditya in the movie which is all set to hit the screens very soon.
In 2014, Leslie had debuted Hindi film Industry with ‘W’, directed by Tarun Madan Chopra.
In 2008, Tripathy sought police protection from Raja Acharya who was stalking her. It was alleged that Biranchi Das also intervened to stop the stalker and that he was killed as a result.
Tripathy has received eight Governor Awards, State Rajiv Gandhi Samaan, Youth Icon Award, Fun Fearless Female Icon for her respective excellence in Academics and contribution to Arts, Culture, Social Service, Activism against Injustice and Women’s Rights.
