OCA goes cashless, Barabati ODI ticket sale from Jan 2
Bhubaneswar: In a big development the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) on Sunday underwent cashless mode after a council meeting chaired by OCA Secretary Aashirbad Behera took decision to bring cashless transactions into the functioning of the board.
Chairing a council preparedness meet on India-England Barabti ODI scheduled to be held on January 19 Behera stressed on introducing cashless transactions in the administration of the board.
Online ticket booking for the ODI will begin from January 2 and will be made cashless. The affiliated organizations which are tied up with OCA as sponsors for the match will also have to deal without cash as they book tickets on January 14 and 15.
General public will also have to abide by the rules but to ease off the tensions following demonetsiation tickets valued less than Rs 2000 can be booked by paying cash otherwise through DD or cheques. Swipe machines will be made available at ticket counters so that people who want to pay can do so through debit and credit cards on January 16 and 17.
Meanwhile the board will also minister cashless transactions for its daily dues, salaries. Transactions below Rs 500 could be done by cash payment while more than that would be dealt with DDs and Cheques.
