Bhubaneswar: Odisha State Non-Gazetted Officers Coordination Committee (NGOCC) has decided to launch mass protest and stage dharna if the state government fails to consider their demands proposed during a convention of the federal body.
Committee’s General Secretary Brajakishore Nanda said, the committee has always supported the government to implement its developmental programs from grass-roots level.
In past, the committee had provided ideas and recommendations regarding developmental activities to the state government for smooth execution of its initiatives.
Since 1966 the standing committee used to address several issues of Non-Gazetted employees but the tradition is paused by State government from last 7 years which led to the recent clerical employees unrest in Koraput.
He also said that the central government employee have already received their increased salary of the year 2017 from January whereas the state government employees salary reviewing is delayed by state government’s fitment committee.
