Bhubaneswar: Odisha continues to reel under acute heat wave condition as temperature crossed 40 degrees at several places in the state on Tuesday.
Bhubaneswar remained the hottest place in the state for the third consecutive day with highest temperature of 42.2 degrees Celsius today that was 42.3 degrees Celsius on Monday and Sunday.
Sultry weather and hot winds have just thrown normal life out of gear in the state.
It was from morning hours itself the heat caused huge inconvenience to people. As the day progressed, the intensity of heat increased and recorded over 40 degree Celsius at as many as 13 places across the state.
On the other hand, the Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar today alerted that the heat wave condition is likely to continue till June 25.
It predicted that the south-west monsoon is likely to be active in between June 23 to 25. The intensity of rainfall is likely to increase from June 25, it forecasted.
