New Governors for seven states

New Delhi: Satya Pal Malik, the incumbent Governor of Bihar, has been transferred and appointed as Governor of Jammu & Kashmir as President Ram Nath Kovind today appointed new Governors for seven states.

Lal Ji Tandon has been appointed as the Governor of Bihar, while Satyadev Narayan Arya appointed the Governor of Haryana. Baby Rani Maurya has been appointed as the Governor of Uttarakhand.

Ganga Prasad, Governor of Meghalaya, has been transferred and appointed as Governor of Sikkim while Tathagata Roy, Governor of Tripura, has been transferred and appointed as Governor of Meghalaya.

Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor of Haryana, has been transferred and appointed as Governor of Tripura.

The appointments will take effect from the dates the incumbents assume charge of their respective offices, a statement issued by the President’s office said.
